Is Ultimate Classified Listings really free?
Yes. The plugin is GPL-2.0 licensed and hosted on WordPress.org. Maps, AJAX search, custom fields, frontend submission, packages and featured listings are all in the free version. Optional premium add-ons are available separately if you want extras like a mobile-app starter kit or programmatic SEO landing pages.
What kinds of sites can I build with it?
Classified ads sites (Craigslist-style), business directories, hyperlocal marketplaces, real-estate listings, job boards, automotive listings, services finders, event listings — anything that needs structured submissions, search and a clean detail page.
Will it work with my theme?
Yes. The plugin uses Bootstrap utility classes scoped under .uclwp-bs-wrapper, so it won’t touch your theme’s styles. It works with any block theme, Astra, Kadence, GeneratePress, Hello, Bricks, Blocksy and Divi out of the box, and ships a complete template-override system for advanced theming.
Do I need a Google Maps API key?
No. The plugin ships with OpenStreetMap via Leaflet by default — completely free and no API key needed. If you prefer Google Maps for the autocomplete address search, you can drop your key into Settings → Maps.
Can I accept payments for paid listings?
Yes. The plugin includes hooks for Stripe and PayPal, plus listing packages, featured listings and recurring renewals. Configure your gateway from Settings → Payments.
How do I migrate from another classifieds plugin?
